Hi! I am James. Currently a GIS Analyst at Palmer Engineering holding a Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Kentucky University in Geology and GIS, and a Master of Science degree from the University of Kentucky in Digital Mapping. I have a passion for cartography and spatial analysis, and I am always eager to learn new techniques and tools to create compelling maps that tell stories and inform decision-making.
When I am not haphazardly slamming buttons on my keyboard, I am spending time with my family or doing judo, rucking, or weightlifting. You might catch me on a hike in Kentucky's scenic wilderness!
QGIS/ArcGIS Pro for data analysis, manipulation, format conversion, and cartography.
MapLibre GL JS, Leaflet JS, D3.js, and PMTiles for interactive web maps. Vite and Node.js for development and build processes.
